Terms of service

These terms apply when you use SampleLabs. SampleLabs is run by SurveySwap B.V. in the Netherlands ("we"). By making an account or placing an order you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

Your account

Keep your login details safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You must be at least 18, and if you sign up for an organisation, you need to be allowed to agree to these terms for it.

Your surveys and data

Your surveys and the responses they collect belong to you. We only use them to run the service for you, keep it safe and improve our bot checks, as the privacy policy describes. You're responsible for what your survey asks and for having a lawful reason to collect the answers. When you collect personal data from participants, we process it for you, under your instructions.

Don't use SampleLabs to collect passwords, card numbers or other data people shouldn't share in a survey, to deceive or harm participants, to send spam, or for anything illegal. We may remove surveys or close accounts that do.

Buying responses

• Prices are shown per response before you pay. They don't include VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
• You pay up front by card through Stripe. Your study goes live once it's paid for and set up.
• Participants who don't meet your criteria or who fail our quality checks don't count toward your total.
• Delivery times on the Recruit page are what we usually achieve, not a guarantee. Very narrow audiences can take longer; we'll tell you if that happens.
• If you're not happy with the responses, email [email protected] within 14 days of your study finishing. We'll replace the responses or refund them. If we can't deliver your study at all, you get your money back.

Because your study starts as soon as you set it up, you can cancel and get a full refund only until it goes live.

Agency projects

Agency projects are quoted separately. The quote we send you, together with these terms, is our agreement for that project.

The service

We work hard to keep SampleLabs running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be down or never make a mistake. Our bot checks catch most fake responses, not all of them. We may change or improve features over time.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop using SampleLabs and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where we can, we'll tell you first.

Law

Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the courts of the Netherlands, unless the law of your country gives you a right to go to your own courts.
